🏀A Timeless Basketball-Inspired Room for the Boys

This basketball-themed room was such a fun one to pull together. We wanted something that felt classic and cohesive, but still full of personality—and most importantly, something the kids would actually love spending time in.
With a mix of navy built-ins, warm wood tones, layered textures, and sporty elements, this space ended up being one of those rare combos: playful but elevated.

🛏Bunk Beds Built for Sleep & Play
The navy bunk beds were a must. Built-ins always make a space feel custom, and the deep blue adds so much richness to the room. Each bed got its own light, cozy neutral bedding, and a mix of striped pillows for a clean but comfy feel.
We topped it off with sherpa-textured basketball pillows that bring a soft, playful nod to the theme—without going full sports mural.

✏Desk Zone That Works as Hard as They Do
Across the room, we created a workspace that’s both functional and styled. Two desks with ample drawer storage sit between bookcases filled with vintage sports pieces, baskets, globes, and books. The leather desk chairs and brass lighting bring warmth and a slightly modern touch.
Even better? The whole thing feels organized but still kid-appropriate.

🏀Mini Indoor Court? Yes, Please.
This basketball feature wall is such a highlight! We mounted a neutral-toned backboard with a soft hoop and added a three-ball wall mount next to it for easy play. The rug design even mirrors a court layout—bringing in that sporty vibe in the most subtle, intentional way.
It’s fun and functional, which is always the dream in a shared space like this.

🌟Details That Tie It All Together
The entire room flows thanks to a consistent color palette—navy, creams, camel tones, and natural woods. Soft roman shades, brass fixtures, and thoughtful accents like the woven hamper and framed wall art give the room that lived-in, layered look.
Everything feels cohesive, but not overly styled. Just how we like it.
